     Sanchia of Provence was born circa 1225 in Aix-en-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhone, France.2 She married Richard Plantagenet, son of John I of England and Isabella of Angoulême, Westminster Abbey in London, England, on 23 November 1243.3 Sanchia died on 9 November 1261 in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England.2 She was interred in Hayles Abbey.2

     Sanchia was crowned Queen of the Romans at Aachen when her husband was crowned King of the Romans.
