     Eanfrith was born circa 596.2 He married Unknown ?, daughter of Gwid and Unknown ?.3 Eanfrith died after 634.3,2
     

     When his father was killed in 616, Eanfrith and his brothers fled with Eanfrith making his way to the land of the Picts, probably the relatives of his mother. He married a Pictish princess. His son Talorcen later became king of the Picts and through his daughters he became the ancestor of several more Pictish kings. There is eveidence that Eanfrith begant to ally himself with other exiles, notably Cadwallow of Gwynedd whom Edwin of Northumbria had driven into Ireland. When, in 633 or 634 Cadwallon killed Edwin at the battle of Hatfield Chase, Eanfrith immediately stepped into the kingship of Bernicia. He apparently endeavoured to reach a peace treaty with Cadwallon who, for over a year, ravaged the north. After eighteen months Eanfrith, in the company with twelve thanes, met with Cadwallon, but the Welsh king killed him.2
