Narrative

John Willhoite (1745-1837) and His Descendants in Kentucky and Elsewhere lists Almira Jane, wife of Norval, as the daughter of Reynolds Willhoite and Lucy Towles. This has to be incorrect as on the 1850 U. S. Census Reynolds daughter Elmira is listed and Norval is listed with wife Jane and there is about 10 years difference in age between the two. Germanna Record No. 13 indicates that Reynolds had 5 sons and 3 daughters. All of these are listed on the 1850 U. S. Census so the Jane listed with Norval is probably not a daughter of Reynolds.
