William Galliher1

#66983

Major Life Events

William Galliher married Elizabeth Leonard, daughter of Frederick Leonard and Anna Maria Braun, on 25 May 1819 at Washington Co., Virginia. There is a marriage record in Washington County, Virginia, of an Elizabeth Leonard marrying a William Galliher on 25 May 1819. Some researchers have indicated that this was a marriage of Elizabeth, daughter of Frederick Leonard but I am not convinced that this is accurate. If it was her second marriage would not the marriage record indicate that William Galliher married Elizabeth Sourbeer. If her first marriage then her Sourbeer marriage would have been much later than the indicated birth of her Sourbeer son, Thomas Jefferson.1
