William Leonard

#68166, b. circa 1834
FatherMichael Leonard b. c 1794, d. 15 May 1856
MotherPhoebe Cole b. c 1799
Relationship1st cousin 4 times removed of Paul Edward Lawrence

Major Life Events

William Leonard was born circa 1834 at Virginia. He married Nancy Ann Reed on 6 October 1874 at Washington Co., Virginia.1,2

Narrative

Some sources equate William with Jordan Leonard. However, I do not believe they are the same. Jordan appears on the 1880 and 1900 U. S. Census along with wife Adaline and children after he supposedly married Nancy Ann Reed. I believe William and Jordan are two separate individuals. Looking at the numbers of males and females in the various age range categories on the 1840 U. S Census there appears to be several children of Michael and Phoebe that are not accounted for in the later U. S. Census.

I have not been able to find William or Nancy on any census records before or after they married in 1874.
