John Dillard Kirkpatrick was born on 8 July 1836 at Wilson Co., Tennessee.1,2,3,4,5 He married Susan J. Hannah Kirkpatrick on 1 November 1866 at Sumner Co., Tennessee.6 John died before 1900.

Narrative

Volume 8 of the World Family Tree has his birth date as 8 July 1831 which would be two months after his sister Ann and which would be impossible. Based on the census, this is probably an error and the actual birth date is probably 8 July 1836.

Additionally, World Family Tree has a first wife for him, Amanda M. Taylor. So far I have found no evidence of this first wife although there could have been a brief marriage before he married Susan which I estimate was sometime in the mid 1860s. Susan (Sue) appears as a widow on the 1900 U. S. Census.
