Narrative

     Berry served in the War of 1812 in Col. Edwin E. Booth's Regiment of East Tennessee militia, the same unit that Jeremiah's sons Benjamin and Zachariah served and enlisted on the same day that they did, 13 November 1814. Upon his discharge at Knoxville he noted a 15 mile "distance to rendezvous". On 3 December 1826, a John Anderson and Berry Burnett witness a deed from Benjamin Burnett to Jesse Burnett (sons of Jeremiah Burnett) for $200 50 acres on the south side of the French Broad River.4

     Littleberry was also known as Berry.
